What is ovarian cysts
Ovarian cysts is a small sac that filled with fluid and growing in the women ovary. Most cysts are not harmful. However, some can lead to problems, start from the menstrual pain, cyst rupture, bleeding, up to serious diseases, such as ovarian stem-entangled, disorders of pregnancy, infertility and endometrium cancer. How does a cyst form?
Women normally have two ovaries with walnut size on the left and right of the uterus. Each ovary produces an egg that is wrapped in the follicle (pouch). When the eggs is out, the estrogenic hormone will signal to the uterus. In turn, the uterine lining begin to thicken and prepare for fertilization of an egg by a sperm (pregnancy). If the egg is not be fertilized, then the entire contents of the uterus will be removed in a monthly menstruation. If the follicle fails to rupture and release the egg and the fluid had stayed, it can form a small cysts (less than 4 cm). This is normal and usually occurs on one of the ovary. This condition is called a functional cyst, usually will disappear by itself, and needs no treatment.
Types of Ovarian Cysts
Corpus luteum cyst :This type, was the most commonly occurs. Usually there is no symptoms and may be measuring 2-6 cm in diameter. By the time when the eggs out of the ovary to the uterus, the follicle can be locked and fill with blood or fluid. This is how the xorpus luteum cyst is formed. When its size grow, the stem can become twisted. This stops the blood supply to the cyst and causes a lot of pain in the lower abdomen.
Hemorrhagic cysts :
A bleeding of functional cyst. The symptoms are usually abdominal cramps.
Dermoid cyst :

Ovarian Stem Entangled (Twisted Position)
Surgery should be considered when there is a clear danger from ovarian cysts (having cancerous ovarian cysts is just one example). Whenever you undertake permanent, irreversible surgical procedures such as Laparoscopy or Laparotomy, you run the risk of irreversible infertility: that means that you will not be able to have kids in the future. Before undergoing any irreversible surgical procedure, I would strongly advise that you get the opinion of at least two specialists in the field to see that the procedure performed will bring about significant enough improvement to justify both the high expenses and permanent effects of the surgical procedure. Beside the irreversible results that surgical procedures can cause, these procedures are also very expensive and most are not covered by your health insurance. Not to mention, the serious complications that may result from such an invasive surgical procedure that also do not guarantee the complete prevention of future ovarian cysts.
